Jennifer Streu - Board Member

Jennifer Streu, CN, CPT


Jennifer Streu, Certified Nutritionist and Certified Personal Trainer, is
the Director of Fitness and Nutrition at Vitality Medical Wellness
Institute in Concord, NC. She studied in the Pre-Med and Pharmacy Program at Wingate University, NC before switching her focus to Fitness and Nutrition.
Jennifer spent her early career in the pre-hospital setting as both a
First Responder and Emergency Medical Technician in Northeast PA before transitioning to hospital care as Certified Phlebotomist and Medical Assistant. This ultimately cultivated her passion for Health as a
Lifestyle and she began the third part of her journey concentrating on
Fitness and Nutrition.
Specializing in Blood Sugar Stabilization under the mentorship of Mark
Macdonald, CNN’s Health Correspondent, Jennifer embraced the relationship between Health and Blood Sugar Stabilization as a Lifestyle as opposed to dietary treatment exclusively for diabetics. Her success rate has attracted attention from various news outlets and she has also been
featured in Charlotte Woman Magazine. Jennifer regularly contributes to
The Examiner Online as a Fitness and Nutrition Expert and has been
published several times for her work on Lifestyle Modification and
Nutrition.
Jennifer spends her free time expanding her areas of expertise studying
Science and Nutrition courses offered by Johns Hopkins University,
dabbling in modeling & acting, and teaching Heavybag Muay Thai style
Kickboxing in Charlotte NC.
She is also a proud mommy to her 9 year old son, Shaun and two fish,
Rainbow Gill and Larry.

Tonisha Gilliard - Board Member

Gilliard has practiced law for over a decade.  Gilliard is the owner and operator of a boutique law firm. With over a decade of Immigration Experience, attorney Gilliard has worked within the Immigration arena since 1998 working as a Paralegal assistant at a prestigious business immigration firm in New York who represented the then Big 6 accounting firms and major IT companies with H-1B visa and Employment based Permanent Residency. Gilliard is also Certified with North Carolina Superior Court (DRC) and South Carolina District Court (ADR) as a Mediator. Gilliard has a diverse legal background and has practiced Immigration throughout the United States, Divorce Law in New Jersey as well as Bankruptcy.

Attorney Gilliard has studied abroad in various counties including Mexico, Scotland, England, and Barbados. 

She is fluent in Spanish

Rob Myers - President / Founder

Rob  is a Process Manager for Snyder's Lance, Inc. Rob has held several roles within the company and even spent 6 years in Canada working at the Canadian facilities. Rob has been in leadership roles with the company since 2004 and has been employed by Snyder's Lance, Inc since 2001.


Before beginning his career with Snyder's Lance, Inc - Rob worked for 6 years in the Human Services field serving individuals with developmental disabilities as well as serving as a volunteer coach for the Special Olympics.


Rob has been touched by diabetes in many ways. Diabetes has affected many of his family members. Rob's mother lost her battle with diabetes in December 2014. Rob has also been living with diabetes for last 10+ years.


Robin Devore is the Corporate Director of Compliance and the Director of  Program Operations at LIFESPAN.  She has been employed with LIFESPAN for 19 years. 

 Robin has a true passion for working with individuals with disabilities and has been doing so since she was a young girl volunteering with Special Olympics and in classrooms during her middle and high school years.  She is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.

 Robin is currently a Member of Health Care Compliance and is involved with the IDD Workgroup for Cardinal assisting with developing best practice modules for individuals with developmental disabilities. She has been in the human services field for 26 years. 

 An advocate and volunteer, she is a past board member for Playing for Others (2007-2009) and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Odyssey of the Mind.

 Robin resides in Charlotte.  She has one daughter, Savannah, who lives in New York City.  Robin is an avid reader and enjoys scrapbooking, and spending time with her friends and family.  She also enjoys traveling, especially trips to the beach and now visits to New York to spend time with Savannah.
